Costa Blanca North
The northern Costa Blanca stretches from Denia, on the border with the province of Valencia, to the provincial capital, Alicante city. From Denia to Alicante city, we find many fantastic coastal towns, as well as some inland towns connected to the Costa Blanca mountains. The Costa Blanca mountains play a role in the climate of the Alicante province.
The mountains make it slightly cooler and result in a few fewer sunny days in the north compared to the south, but the difference is not significant for those of us used to living further north in Europe. For many, this might even be an advantage, as the heat can be less intense during the hottest periods. The proximity to the stunning Costa Blanca mountains offers shorter distances to great mountain excursions.
But let’s not forget; the north has a shorter drive to the big city of Valencia. Many would also argue that the northern Costa Blanca has better beaches than the south. Property prices are generally higher in the north than in the south. In fact, there can be a considerable difference when comparing, for example, Moraira with Pilar de la Horadada. Areas such as Altea Hills and Moraira in the north have some of the highest property prices in the Alicante province.

Benidorm
Apartments and homes around Benidorm offer proximity to a lively and vibrant city. Benidorm is the fourth largest city in the Alicante province, after Alicante, Elche, and Torrevieja. However, Benidorm is certainly the most lively and vibrant city in the province, largely due to the many tourists. Additionally, the area around the city offers a variety of activities for both children and adults. Many might think that Benidorm is a bit too intense of a city to live in. But we are all different.
Having quick access to a vibrant nightlife with lively bars, restaurants, discos, and nightclubs, as well as walking distance to the two fantastic beaches, Poniente and Levante, is perfect for some. Outside the city center, there are also villas, houses, and townhouses for those who want something a bit quieter, but still quite central.
Villajoyosa
Colorful houses and apartments in Villajoyosa give the coastal town a creative living environment. Today, many new homes are being built in Villajoyosa. The coastal town of Villajoyosa is located between Alicante city and Benidorm. Several of the newly built homes are apartments, either close to the beaches or with sea views over the Mediterranean.

El Campello
El Campello - from beach life to mountain hiking in 15 minutes. From El Campello’s long 23-kilometer beach and coastline to one of Alicante province's most popular hiking trails near the mountain town of Busot, and the famous Cuevas de Canelobre caves, El Campello is the city in the province with the shortest contrasts between sea and mountains.
El Campello has an amazing coastline of 23 kilometers. It has the fantastic wide sandy beach that continues from the San Juan beach. You almost don’t notice when you cross the border between San Juan and El Campello when driving along the beach road from San Juan into El Campello or the other way around. This beach is very wide.
There are constantly beach activities such as beach soccer, beach volleyball, badminton, and more. Around a small promontory, you’ll find a new, beautiful sandy beach that is not as wide. But here, there is a fantastic row of small cozy restaurants and bars along the promenade, just a few meters from the beach.
San Juan
San Juan - a suburb of Alicante city with the longest city beach in the province. San Juan de Alicante is a suburb of Alicante city. However, the city has a wide range of restaurants/bars, nightlife, a golf course in the city, an active sports environment, a cultural scene, and good communication to Alicante city and northwards.
In addition to the length of the sandy beach, the beach is very wide with a nice promenade featuring many fine restaurants and bars with good toilet facilities. The Tram has a stop almost right on the beach, so it is easy to get to San Juan Beach from other cities in the northern part of the province. The good communication to both Alicante city and other cities in the province makes living in San Juan offer both the city vibe and easy access to other smaller towns. This is probably not the cheapest place to buy a property, and there aren’t many new buildings available anymore.
However, there are many apartments located close to the beach for those who do not need to buy new. The location of San Juan makes it a very attractive place to buy and have apartments or houses.
Alicante city
Buying an apartment or house in Alicante city, the capital of the Alicante province. When deciding to buy an apartment or house in the Alicante province, the first thing you do is decide whether you want to live centrally or more on the outskirts. As always, the closer you want to live to the center and the closer to the sea you want to buy a property, the more expensive it will be.
Alicante city is not only the largest city in the province with around 340,000 permanent residents, but it is also a port city with beautiful beaches located right in the city center, and in addition, the city has "its own seaside town" - San Juan, just north of the Alicante center. This makes the price level higher than most other places in the Alicante province.
Alicante is currently the 11th largest city in Spain, but one of the fastest-growing cities. The city has an incredible number of good restaurants and bars. And if you can’t find anything you like here, you’re very picky.
