There is still some new construction being built, but it is probably mostly used.
Although you can find a few luxury apartments for over 1 million euros in the most exclusive areas near the Mediterranean, it is by far the most luxurious villas and houses that can be found at these prices. There are many in Europe today who want to move permanently to Europe's sunniest area. The beaches, sports opportunities, mountain landscapes, vineyards and a fantastic food and restaurant culture also make life much more pleasant to live in an area where the price level also competes very well with most larger places in Europe. Many also find it fantastic to live in an international European environment without proximity to multicultural and political conflicts, while being far away from the risk of war in the north, east and Middle East. When you are going to invest so much money, the security of the investment is extra important. In terms of investment, the Alicante province and the Costa Blanca are one of the smartest choices today. The price level in the Alicante province and the Costa Blanca coast has been much lower than, for example, around the coast of Barcelona and Malaga, but is now rising and will continue to rise in the future due to the increasing popularity of the province. Both Alicante and Valencia have been voted by many as the best place in the world to live for people moving from other countries. This should say it all, really.
