Beach town - Guardamar del Segura with fantastic location

The sandy beaches of Guardamar del Segura are the favorite beaches of many homeowners in this area in the south of Alicante province. There are a number of projects with new modern apartments and the city has several luxurious houses right down by the beach.

Since the beaches are such an important part of Guardamar del Segura, people come from other places to use these wonderful beaches. There is actually over 6 kilometers of long sandy beach. The most famous beaches are:

Playa Centro

The beach is called "centro" because it is very close to an urban area with buildings and homes. If you take a walk along this promenade you will quickly find many very good restaurants. The beach has moderate waves so it is suitable for all ages.

Playa de la Roqueta

This beach is also quite centrally located and is well suited if you want to combine beach life and city life. The beach is also suitable for the disabled. This wonderful beach has plenty of space and has a blue flag and crystal clear water. The beach is easily accessible both by car and on foot.

Playa Moncayo

This 2,000 meter long beach is a bit quieter and can offer areas with sand dunes. Although this beach is not accessible from the promenade, it is not difficult to reach it. This beach also has a blue flag and fine soft sand and blue inviting water.

The sea and the water are central to Guardamar del Segura and therefore there are many people who want to buy apartments and houses close to this town. But the city can also boast its own landscaped forest with several different types of trees. The forest was established at the end of the 19th century on sand dunes to protect the city from erosion. 600,000 trees were planted over an area of 700 hectares. Today the park is called La Pinada of Guardamar and is used today by many for walks, exercise, play and a museum. The relatively short distance to the airport and Alicante in the north and to Torrevieja in the south makes the city very popular for international home buyers. And there are always new projects. However, you should be aware that this area is one of the most difficult areas to get a license for letting.
