El Campello - from beach life to mountain hiking in 15 minutes.

From El Campello's long beach and coastline of 23 kilometers to one of the Alicante province's most popular hiking trails at the mountain town of Busot and the famous Cuevas de Canelobre caves, El Campello is the town in the province with the shortest contrasts between sea and mountains.
The beach and coastline of El Campello

El Campello has a fantastic coastline of 23 kilometres. In a way, this can be divided into three. You have the wonderful wide sandy beach which is a continuation of the sandy beach of San Juan. You hardly notice when you cross the border between San Juan and El Campello when you drive the beach road from San Juan into El Campello or vice versa. This beach is very wide. Beach activities such as beach football, beach volleyball, badminton and more take place all the time. Around a small headland you will find a new fantastic fine sandy beach which is not as wide. But here is a fantastic range of small, cozy restaurants and bars on the promenade just a few meters from the beach. We would almost say that you would have problems finding a similar density of restaurants so close to the sandy beach elsewhere on the Costa Blanca coast. But El Campello stretches further along the coast with small crags and paths. Here we find many small bays and caves with both sandy beaches and more stony beaches and cliffs. The water here is crystal clear and ideal for water sports such as sailing, windsurfing and diving. And of course there are also fewer people than on the larger sandy beaches, so here you can hide away for a bit. Many people also use this area to go for walks, if they are not going up in the mountains. In this way, El Campello's beach and coastline cover different wants and needs. After all, we are not all the same, and some days you also want a little variety. This coastline extends almost to Villajoyosa.

Location and housing in El Campello

Along El Campello's seafront and coastline there are lots of homes, some with very good views. We find villas, houses, terraced houses and apartments. The provincial tax authorities say that along with San Juan, El Campello has one of the highest average incomes in the province. There is probably a reason why you find homes of high quality and a good location here. The vast majority drive past El Campello on the AP7 or N332 on their way north towards Benidorm and Valencia or south towards Alicante, the airport in Elche or inland towards Murcia or Madrid. The only thing you see then is the sea and some homes located on mountain ledges near the city and the Mediterranean. In a way, therefore, El Campello is a bit secluded. But geographically, El Campello is very central. The city is almost connected to San Juan, which in turn is connected to the city of Alicante. Northwards, the coastline almost reaches Villajoyosa, which is again very close to Benidorm. A modern tram runs along the beach every 30 minutes. from Alicante city and past Benidorm and all the way to Denia. In addition to this, El Campello has the shortest route to the mountain and the hiking trails there, as well as the mountain town of Busot. Her you also find mountain climbers not just hikers. From the mountain you get a fantastic view of Campello.

In the neighboring city of San Juan, you can find, for example, the wonderful Alicante Golf golf course and the Arena Alicante gym. Boats that go out to the island of Tabarca also stop in the town. When you take all this, it combines with the fact that the city actually has almost 25,000 inhabitants with all service facilities, and a very active beach for both sports activities and restaurant visits, an active marina for boating, as well as its own fishing reception, then El Campello should be a city you consider when looking for housing to become a permanent resident or just want a holiday home in Alicante province.
