Albir is located between the towns of Altea and Benidorm in the north of the province of Alicante. L´Albir was originally the port town of L´Alfaz del Pi, and is located in the municipality of L´Alfaz. Its location on the beach, close to the famous towns and all the exciting attractions, and at the foot of the Sierra Helada mountain, makes the location of Albir fantastic.

Albir is a very international small town with Spaniards, Norwegians, Britons, Dutch, Germans, Belgians and many other nationalities. L´Alfaz del Pi has, among other things, several international politicians in key positions. This therefore means that much of the infrastructure in the town is also international, such as schools, doctors, dentists and much more. There are a number of fantastic international restaurants and bars both along the beach and the short road into town. Both inside the town itself and just outside you have easy access to golf courses. The housing market in L´Albir consists of everything from exclusive villas and houses to ordinary townhouses and apartments. It is clear that the residential area in the area is very popular since so many people from different countries have found their new home in Albir and the surrounding area.

It is just a walk along the beach from Albir to Altea, so these two act as “twin sisters”. All the offers and services in Altea can therefore be used equally by those who live in Albir and vice versa. The perception of the beach in Albir is probably a bit divided. Some have no problem with the beach being a rocky beach where it is absolutely best to wear bathing shoes, while others think this is not optimal. But otherwise the beach is very well located on the lower side of the Sierra Helada mountain, which protects parts of the beach from wind and waves. Outside the mountain you will find exciting caves that you can reach by canoes and boats. For those who prefer a sandy beach, it is not a long drive, along the Sierra Helada mountain, to Benidorm. On this short drive you will also find several modern campsites, which we can recommend to visitors who do not have room in their own home. Parque Natural de Serra Gelada, of which the Sierra Helada mountain is a part, provides many opportunities for excursions, exercise and experiences both on land and water right outside your front door. It is also not that long a drive to the Alicante province's most visited tourist attractions El Castell de Guadelest, the cold spring water in the pools of Fonts de L'Algar. Aqualandia, the Terra Mitica theme park, Terra Natura, Mundomar. One should also not forget the city of La Nucia, which in 2024 was named European City of Sports by the European Commission. A huge sports park is now being built in La Nucia. And of course, one must not forget everything that is happening in Benidorm, the most lively city in the Alicante province. As you can see, it is a relatively short distance to a huge number of activities for both young and old.
